Download & install

One app. Three ways to run it.

Every option below is the same ResortKeeper with the same records — the choice is about the machine at your front desk. Not sure? Start in the browser at app.resortkeeper.app and install later; nothing has to be moved.

Windows

The desktop app for the front desk.

The same local-first engine as its own application. No browser tab to close by accident, its own protected storage, and it opens straight to your run board — online or not.

Windows installer

Recommended

Full installation with a desktop shortcut, Start menu entry, and your choice of install directory. Recommended for the permanent front-desk workstation.

Windows SmartScreen notice

The first time you launch either download, Windows may display a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen, or your browser may flag the file as not commonly downloaded. That is SmartScreen reacting to a file it hasn’t seen many times yet — independent software that isn’t code-signed gets this treatment, and it is not a malware detection. We build both files ourselves from the same code that runs the web app. If you would like to verify a download before running it, email us and we will send the SHA-256 checksum for the current build. To proceed, click More info, then Run anyway.

iPad and iPhone

Install it to the Home Screen. Don't just bookmark it.

On iOS and iPadOS, Safari clears a website’s local data after 7 days without a visit. An app installed to the Home Screen gets its own storage that Safari leaves alone — which is what keeps your local records and offline queue safe on a tablet. Three taps, once.

Required on iOS · Safari only

  1. Step 1: Open in Safari

On your iPhone or iPad, load ResortKeeper in the native Safari browser. Chrome, Firefox, and in-app browsers cannot install a true standalone PWA on iOS.

  2. Step 2: Share → Add to Home Screen

Tap the Share icon in the toolbar, scroll the action sheet, and select Add to Home Screen. Confirm the ResortKeeper icon name and tap Add.

  3. Step 3: Launch from the icon

Always open ResortKeeper from the installed Home Screen icon. This launches the isolated standalone container, where IndexedDB is exempt from the 7-day eviction that affects browser tabs.

Why this matters

Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention purges website-scoped IndexedDB, localStorage, and service worker caches after 7 days of no user interaction with a Safari tab. An installed Home Screen PWA receives its own storage partition that ITP does not auto-evict — making this step mandatory for any front desk that relies on local-first uptime. Android and desktop browsers are not affected, but the install flow is still recommended for offline parity.
